Fat Like The Sun was a lucky thrift shop find. The collection touches on sex, love, parenthood, domestic violence, womanhood and aging. I find some of the poems, particularly the love poems, very moving. I like the directness and simplicity in the writing. Her voice is so strong, there’s something very quirky funny in her voice. Like Selima Hill, when I read Anna Swir I feel like I’m reading notes from a friend.
